It was an honor for us to host a panel discussion with the Indonesian Investment Authority (INA), a sovereign wealth fund established by the Indonesian government in Nov 2020, just 3 years ago. Its vision is to help push forward Indonesia’s sustainable economic development and to build wealth for the future generations to come. Put simply, INA wants to help build a better Indonesia.
We had the privilege to have a Q&A session with its key leaders:
- Ridha DM Wirakusumah (CEO), formerly CEO of Bank Permata, CEO of Maybank Indonesia, Country Head of KKR
- Arief Budiman (Deputy CEO & Wharton MBA 2002), formerly CEO of Danareksa, CFO of Pertamina, Partner at McKinsey
- Stefanus Hadiwidjaja (CIO & Wharton MBA 2010), formerly Managing Director & Country Head of Creador
- Marita Alisjahbana (CRO), formerly Country & Corporate Risk Manager of Citibank
It was insightful to delve deeper to understand more about INA’s investment priorities and strategic goals in order to make its goal for a better Indonesia come to life, as noted in their commitments to invest in growth-oriented sectors such as Indonesia's infrastructure, logistics, digital technology, renewable energy, and healthcare.
